What to Expect

Interested in tasting and learning about wines and tapas from Spain´s top wine-producing regions in Barcelona? On our wine and tapas experience, you will wander through the beautiful streets of El Born medieval neighborhood on an interactive journey of the best wines and gastronomy from Spain that also include off the beaten sights of Barcelona.

On this wine and tapas experience, you will start by getting introduced to the traditions of Barcelona locals when it comes to aperitif time at an ancient Bodega where you will pour wines from the barrel, eat freshly carved cured meats and manchego cheese, and get an introduction to the world of cavas (the Spanish sparkling wine). Along the evening, you will uncover unknown white wines at a boutique wine shop while you get tips on how to select the best bottle when buying wine, and finally taste an array of complex Spanish red wines paired with traditional tapas at a Mediterranean restaurant.

On this interactive journey of the wines and foods from the country, you will wander down picturesque streets of Barcelona while experiencing the ‘classroom’ setting of wine tastings and enjoying a progressive tapas dinner. Along with this charming walk, you will be lead by our wine expert and enjoy the company of local sommeliers at each establishment.

We recommend allowing time for shopping after the tour ends as you will certainly want to come back to some locations then. This will allow the group to stay on schedule and ensure that fresh food that is being prepared for you taste deliciously good.
Most shops will be open after the tour ends.

Please be sure and let us know if you (or anyone in your group) has a dietary restriction (e.g. vegetarian, diabetic, allergy, etc.) when you purchase your tickets. As long as we know in advance, we can accommodate your needs.

Gratuities are greatly appreciated, although not mandatory. The standard gratuity in the service industry is 10%-20%.

Our tours are wheelchair and baby stroller friendly and accessible. We advise you to get in touch with us before purchasing tickets in order to ensure we can accommodate your needs and ensure you enjoy our tour. For guests that are hard of hearing, a written script of the narration will be available at the ticket office upon request.

You should bring with you a camera and a big smile. Barcelona has a nice weather all year long and most of the tour takes place in shaded areas. If it looks like rain, we recommend you bring an umbrella.
