- What should I bring with me?
You should bring a camera and a big smile. Barcelona has nice weather all year long, and most of our tours take place in shaded areas. If it looks like rain, we recommend you bring an umbrella.
- I am a compulsive buyer; can I shop during the tour?
We recommend allowing time for shopping after the tour ends so you can come back to some of the locations. This allows the group to stay on schedule and ensure that the fresh food that is being prepared for you tastes deliciously good.
Most shops are open after the tour ends.
- Is there parking available?
Parking is available at nearby parking garages:
- Urgell SL (C/Floridablanca, 121 – two blocks away from meeting point)
- SABA(C/Comte d’Urgell, 12 – 100 meters from meeting point)
- Are children allowed?
Children of all ages, whether walking or in a stroller, are welcome to join. If they are not participating in the food tastings, just let us know once you purchase your ticket and there is no cost associated. Otherwise, please make sure that you purchase a discounted children’s ticket.
- Do we only walk around and sample food?
Absolutely not! Barcelona Eat Local Food Tours provides a unique three-hour walking experience that combines architectural sights, neighborhoods, and local history with a culinary insight into the past and present of Catalan cuisine. Imagine walking through charming Barcelona streets, eating our local restaurateurs’ and food merchants’ most delicious products while learning from the locals.
- What if I have dietary restrictions or allergies?
Please be sure and let us know if you or anyone in your group has a dietary restriction (e.g. vegetarian, diabetic, allergy, etc.) when you purchase your tickets. As long as we know in advance, we can accommodate your needs.
- Do I need to purchase tickets in advance?
To maximize your chances of getting the day, time, and the number of tickets you prefer, please book well in advance. Tickets can only be purchased with a Visa, AMEX, or MasterCard from our website or by calling.
- If a food tour is sold out, can I get on a waiting list?
We do not provide a waiting list. If a date and time are sold out, there is always a good chance that we will add an additional tour on that day. Please email us to let us know what date you are interested in if you do not see availability.

- Are tours handicap accessible?
Our tours are wheelchair and baby stroller friendly and accessible. We advise you to get in touch with us before purchasing tickets in order to ensure we can accommodate your needs and ensure you enjoy our tour.
